We Mess Up, He Cleans Up

Do you ever feel like you’ve messed up one too many times and there’s no bouncing back? Or maybe you messed up once, but the thing you did was so bad there is no way you can come back from it. Like, all credibility is gone and your good deeds mean nothing. You messed things up with someone/something, and you’ve ruined everything.

Well, my friend, here’s the thing. You did mess up. You betrayed someone. You lied. You made a costly mistake. You did do the bad thing.

But the thing you did isn’t too bad for God to forgive, redeem, restore, or give grace to.

There is coming back from the thing you did, because Jesus came back from death, and once He did that, He made the way for your redemption. You didn’t ruin everything because the power of His actions is incomparably greater than that of yours.

So ask for forgiveness wherever needed. Trust God to restore whatever needs restoration. Turn away from whatever you need to turn away from. Never forget that nothing can separate you from His love, and grace is His to give, not yours to earn. Live from the place of grace and His love.

If He did it for Peter, Paul, and every other person who has ever done wrong, He can do it for you.

Friend, walk confidently in the redeeming grace that God has given to you.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”‭‭
Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-9‬, NIV

“Let all that you do be done with love.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭16:14‬, NKJV‬‬

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-14‬, NIV‬‬
